Description

The year is 1996.

Four people reunite at a memorial service to remember the life of someone they once knew.

His name was Avoir Cafard. It has been ten years since his death.

The only one thing he left behind? A blue book containing his memories.

Avoir was a simple man who lived in a deplorable apartment, in a forsaken town with sad people and monotonous situations.

He used to counsel people who came to a local church, ministered by Father Iov, where he was a layman.

These four people came to Avoir's church one day and changed their lives.

But one question remains:

How do they remember him?

About

The Eternal Fool is an adventure-esque, atmospheric, and utterly poetic game where you wander about solving small tasks and talking to people. It aims to be a character study of five distinct people and their stream of consciousness, while also being a tale about introspection, alienation, nostalgia, loneliness, and the human condition.

The game is set within seven days of Avoir's life. In each of them, you meet a different person whom you must help ease their life struggles while discovering new things about Avoir himself.

While not looking after them, you can wander about in the city, talking to its inhabitants and helping them along the way.

It has three acts with two chapters each (six in total), including a prologue and an epilogue.

Made in RPG Maker 2000 v1.7 with BananenJoe's Destiny Patch.
